Spain is a country in Europe with neighbours Portugal and France. It is a developed country. It is the fourteenth largest economy in the world. It is a high income country. It is a safe country and a relatively low crime rate. It is a country with a lot of booming sectors like chemicals, pharmaceuticals, shipbuilding, medical equipment, textiles, apparel including footwear, food and beverages, etc. It is a member of the United Nations Organisation, World Trade Organisation, Council of Europe, the European Union and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development(OECD). Madrid is the capital city. Euro is the currency.
More than 50,000 international students study in Spain. Along with Business Management, Engineering, Medical studies, etc, even law and humanities courses are recognised worldwide. The country is also a signatory of the Bologna Process, which gives the student the privilege of transferring to a new University in any of the member countries. Pimientos De Padron is a simple dish made with green peppers fried in Olive Oil. Bocadillos is a popular Spanish sandwich, with many variations.
