Brazil is the fifth largest country in the world and is the largest country both in Latin America and South America. It has the eight highest Gross Domestic Product in the world. It is the largest producer of coffee in the world for the past 150 years. Portuguese is the national language and English is widely spoken. The major industries of the country are iron and steel, automobile, oil
and gas, textile, agriculture, etc. Brazil is a member of the United Nations Organisation, BRICS, G20, Organisation of Ibero-American States and Organisation of American States. Brasilia is the capital city. Brazilian Real is the currency.
There are more than 2000 higher places of education, both public and
private, which are recognised by the Ministry of Education in Brazil. The country is a hub for Engineering, Medical and Business Management courses.
It has also entered into agreement with other BRICS members for student exchange programmes. The approach for a Masters level programme is mestrado. The preparation for its research lasts two years. There is no tuition fees in public universities in Brazil. The higher study is quite exhaustive in this country but this prepares you for life, to face the competitive market scenario. The qualifications are recognised worldwide.
The country is not only famous for the statue of Christ The Redeemer, it has numerous beaches to soothe your senses. It also hosts the Rio Carnival, visited by 2 million people each day, in its celebration which lasts for 4 days.
Brazil has a lot of different food tastes to offer. Mandioca Frita is fried cassava. Canjica is made with white corn, condensed milk and coconut milk.
Pão de queijo is a fusion of bread and cheese. Quindim is a sweet made with eggs, coconut and sugar. Paçoca isa sweet with peanut filling.
