Malaysia is a country in Southeast Asia, and is an emerging economy. It is a founding member of many important world bodies like the Association of South-East Asian Nations(ASEAN), Organisation of Islamic Cooperation(OIC), etc., and is a member of Commonwealth of Nations, the NonAligned Movement(NAM), etc. The citizens of Malaysia have the privilege of visa free or “Visa-on-arrival” access to more than 160 countries in the world, making the Malaysian passport the 5th most accepted in the world. The higher education is closely monitored by the Ministry of Higher Education, to bring it at par with global standards. In spite of all these, the cost of living is much lower than many international study destinations. With relatively low crime rate, it is one of the safest countries in the world. The weather is devoid of extreme hot and cold temperature, being sunny and rainy all the year around.

Malaysia is a popular tourist destination, with majestic sites such as the Petronas Twin Towers soaring to a height of around 452 metres and Malaysian Borneo. The cuisine offers a variety that can rarely be experienced elsewhere in the world, to match the tastebuds of every individual, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options widely available. Food for satiating hunger are present at almost every street, notably Roti John, Laksa(noodle soup), etc. Rice is the staple food which is served with various variations of curry, which include fish, egg, or for vegetarians, okra.
